This herbicide is absorbed by the leaves and roots of weeds and translocated throughout the plant, acting on acetolactate synthase (ALS) to inhibit the synthesis of branched-chain amino acids (valine, leucine, and isoleucine), thereby suppressing cell division and protein production. Sensitive weeds show cessation of growth at the growing point within hours of application, followed by gradual yellowing, necrosis, and ultimately, the death of the entire plant; this physiological inhibition is irreversible.

Application

It is a selective herbicide effective through pre-emergence or post-emergence applications.
