Common Name: indoxair conditioningarb
CAS No.: 144171-61-9
Synonyms: Ammate,Avatar,Avaunt
Molecular Formula: C22H17ClF3N3O7
Agrochemical Type: Insecticide
Mode of Action:Indoxacarb effective agent is a volt-gate sodium channel blocking agent in insect nerve cells. The carboxymethyl group of indoxacarb is cleaved in insect to produce a more active compound, N-demethoxycarbonyl metabolite (DCJW). Indoxacarb performs insecticidal activity (larvicidal and ovicidal) through contact and gastric toxicity, and the affected insects stop feeding within 3 ~ 4 h, have action disorders, paralysis, and eventually die. Although indoxacarb has no ingestion, it can enter mesophyll through osmosis.

Indoxacarb does not break down easily even when exposed to strong ultraviolet light and remains effective at high temperatures. It is resistant to rain and can be strongly adsorbed on the leaf surface. Indenacarb has a wide insecticidal spectrum, especially against lepidopteran pests, weevil, leafhopper, bug bug, apple fly and corn root pests on vegetables, fruit trees, corn, rice, soybean, cotton and grape crops.
Indenacarb gel and baits are used to control sanitary pests, especially cockroaches, fire ants and ants. Its sprays and baits can also be used to control lawn worms, weevils and mole cricket.
Different from traditional carbamate insecticides, Indenacarb is not a cholinesterase inhibitor, and no other insecticides have the same mechanism of action. Therefore, no cross-resistance between indocarb and pyrethroids, organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides was found. After more than 10 years of commercial use, Indenacarb was not found to be harmful to any label crops.
Indenacarb has been identified as the only lepidopteran insecticide for the control of the American grass bug in the United States.
Indoxacarb is an ideal bait for red fire ants in the United States because it is insoluble in water, has high efficiency, low toxicity and no chronic toxicity.
